Keltan is 7 1/2 months old now. This has been an amazing time for us. We enjoy the little man immensely and have quite a lot of joy watching him grow and progress.
We've had to start working on his sleeping lately. He loves to go to sleep in someone's lap or arms, but putting him in his crib is not such a pleasant experience for him. He fusses and screams as soon as we put him there, and we have had to allow him to "cry it out," which is not a real easy task for us. The first few times, it really tore Inga up, but we are becoming more numb to his little tantrums in that regard. However, at this time, he is not feeling well (apparently a cold), and is highly congested, which, of course, makes sleep difficult. So, it looks like all the progress we have made will be regressed and we will have to start over. UGH...
He is not quite crawling yet, though he is trying to figure it out. He reaches for stuff that is just out of his reach, but can't get that little leg to cooperate, and ends up splatting on his face! It may sound mean, but it is kind of funny to watch.
Pancakes are a favorite of his. We feed them to him sans syrup, of course. He will put away some pancakes - easily cleans up 1/2 of a Whataburger one by himself! The baby food fruits are some of his favorites, but he will tolerate the other food dishes. Eating is not a problem with Keltan - he takes after his daddy and will gladly ingest some tasty dishes!
2 teeth have come in, both on the bottom. 1 is poking through on the top. Those little teeth are SHARP and he certainly knows how to use them to chomp down on a finger! YEEEEEEOOOOOOWW!!!!!!
The little guy is definitely getting very attached to his mommy. On days when Inga will be gone late, he gets cranky until she gets home. Fortunately, that doesn't happen too often, or else Daddy might go crazy!
Well, that about catches everything up. Should I remember anything else that should be updated, I will post it.
He'll have that crawling mastered real soon. And then watch out everyone! He'll be into lots of things and require even more watching. Give him a hug for Aunt Glo.
